Victoria to Luton airport by bus

Hi,
        I could make it to a Luton airport in time when I would use National Express from Victoria station at 19.00, to be there at 20.20, and my flight would be off at 21.10, so I would be there just 50 minutes before the flight. My question is: is there no traffic jams on Sundays in London at that times to the direction of Luton airport? What is the actual situation with a traffic? Is there any quicker types of transportation to Luton from Victoria?
