First steps of planning a scotland trip

Hi,
      e ll probably be arriving in Glasgow since it s the cheapest round trip from YUL. All others alternatives are too expensive.





We ll be in the area for 15-17 days. We want to get to Ireland also but dont know how to be efficient with that part of the trip yet





So let say we re in scotland for 10 days.





Must go is Aberdeen since my grand dad was born there and i want to walk there for sure.





between that, we re open to visit historic places and castles





We ve heard about Glencoe, Inverness and Skye but we re open to any suggestions





We want to rent a car and driving is not a problem.





what would you do to close the loop?
