James walked into the Atomic Wrangler. The only times he came in here recently was to hire help for a mission or an expedition. This time it was his own adventure. He heard that there was still a lot of weapons and armor left in Vault 34 and those would be worth a ton of caps but he'd need somebody else to go with him, mostly to help carry the loot. He let the Garrets know that he was looking for help and that if they saw anybody they thought could handle some ghouls, to send them his way. Leaving them fifty caps to encourage them to spread the news, James left, going back to the Tops.

Jason walked down the steps from his room at the Atomic Wrangler to take his usual place at guarding the tables and slots so no one would try to cheat. He was sick of dealing with the same drunken idiots day after day, but he didn't have any choice. He had gotten himself a place to stay after he had left the NCR, but the Garret twins knew how to keep him in their employment. The rate for the room was not what the young mercenary had expected. He expected maybe a payment at the end of every week that was reasonable. Turns out, the Garrets weren't interested in being reasonable.
Deciding it was best to see if there were any opportunities to leave his place of residence for a bit, Jason asked James Garret if anyone had come by looking for some assistance with anything. At this point, Jason was willing to watch paint dry if it meant he would be paid. Thankfully, a man had stopped by a little bit earlier and left a message with the twins about needing people to help with clearing out a vault. That was just the break Jason had been looking forward to for the past few days. Making sure he had his weapons ready, the young man left his place of employment quickly to see if he could find the man looking for help.

James was sitting at one of the blackjack tables at the Tops for about half an hour. So far he'd won about 15 caps. It'd be better if he was winning big, but at least he wasn't losing. For now anyway. After playing one more hand and winning another 5 caps (he liked to bet small to play longer), he stood up and went to cash his chips. As he stood up however, he saw a lost-looking fellow in NCR armor. This guy couldn't be NCR though, he wasn't drunk and he wasn't at the Gomorrah harassing the dancers. He did however look like he could handle himself, after all, that was ranger armor he was wearing, they didn't just give those out. This guy might just be able to help with the vault, James thought as he walked over to the stranger. "Hey buddy, you interested in some work?"

Jason looked to the source of the question and smiled nervously. This was the first time he had been able to make it to the Strip without being harassed by those Securitrons. Things were starting to look up for the former ranger as he looked over the man that had questioned him. The T-51b Power Armor he wore led Jason to believe he was at least former Brotherhood. Hopefully, this was the guy that had left a message at the Atomic Wrangler looking for help. This was going to be an interesting adventure.
"I'm assuming you're the one that stopped by the Atomic Wrangler," Jason casually stated. "Sure, I could do with making some caps."
Things seemed to be looking up for the former ranger. With any luck, he'd be able to live on the Strip instead of the Atomic Wrangler. Vaults always did have valuable things.

"Good, if you're packed and ready to go, we can leave in about ten minutes. I just need to grab a few more things before we leave. I didn't expect somebody to respond so quickly; Vaults have a reputation for being dangerous," James said before turning towards the elevators. "I'm James by the way. You can come up with me or you can wait down here, your call," he said, already walking towards the elevators.

Jason thought for a moment that it would be better if he didn't start putting himself into debt by gambling. Quickly making sure he had all his weapons, the young mercenary decided it would be better to follow his current employer. Even though the vaults were considered dangerous, that didn't stop Jason. He had been a ranger and that meant he was going to try his hardest.
"I think I can handle myself," he chuckled. "I just hope that armor doesn't slow you down because I'm going to need some back-up."
It was a bit of a cocky thing to say, but it was more to relieve the slight tension he was feeling. This would be his first time actually having companionship. Plus, all the possible treasures in the vault made up for all the dangers that were bound to be in there. The former ranger knew that whatever he found inside of the deathtrap would get him enough caps to be free of his debt. Hopefully, there would be enough left over so he could move to the Strip personally. Maybe James was willing to split the cost of rent so they could share a room.
"Before I forget, I'm Jason," the young man introduced himself, looking around for any possible attackers...or those that wanted to join.
